Well, that didn’t take long.
Taylor Swift finally broke her political silence to take a stand against a Senate candidate endorsed by Donald Trump — and within hours Fox News was making personal attacks against her.
Taylor’s problems with Tennessee Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn were
But Fox & Friends brought on a pundit named Charlie Kirk to go after the Shake It Off singer:
“Look Taylor Swift, I love your music, personally, Kanye West, I’m a bigger fan of his. I wish you would have not done this. Stay away from politics.”
Wow, what? Which is it, stay away from politics or be more like Kanye West?
This a-hole didn’t just tell Taylor to sit down and shut up; he also accused her of… well, something:
“It’s rather evident and clear that — I don’t want to accuse her of this — but I don’t think she’s the only one who wrote that post on Instagram. She probably got some very bad information.”
Oh. Hell. No.
What exactly is he insinuating? Some “evil Democrats” got to her and twisted her mind? You saying she’s weak?
Ooh, or maybe like the damn President of the United States you want to blame boogeyman billionaire George Soros. Yeah, that’s it — Taylor is just a crisis actor, right? Because she needed the money?
This is pathetic.
You want to disagree with Taylor, you go right ahead and express your views. But do NOT be getting reductive about her ability to express hers!
This is a woman with multiple songwriting Grammys; you think she can’t handle ONE Instagram post?
As for “bad information” exactly which piece of information was incorrect there? That the Republican candidate doesn’t support LGBT rights or that she voted against the Reauthorization of the Violence Against Women Act?
Be specific next time, please and thank you.
